About the Owner
My name is Shannon LeViner. I was born and raised in Alexandria, VA. I have well over 15 years experience in Dog Walking and Pet Care Services. I started Walking Paws in 2004. Still to this day I visit many of my very first clients. I love all animals and have several of my own. Not to mention plenty of close furry friends. I am passionate about my work and the animals in my care. I have been a volunteer for animal causes my entire adult life. I currently foster cats and donate time for Animal Allies. I am a member of ASPCA and I rescue my dogs from local shelters. I try to stay active in animal rights causes and help my community in anyway.
I make a real bond with the animals in my care. My pet sitters and I will call you to make sure you have arrived home on time from a trip or just to check and see how our friends are adjusting to our services. We really care for your animals in every sense of the word.
My favorite dog I ever cared for was Oskar. Oskar was a 100 pound, 3 legged, cancer surviving Rottweiller that loved life. I provided services to Oskar for 6 years. He needed to be lifted into cars for his daily excursions and helped along a bit, but for the most part he acted like any other dog. I learned a lot from Oskar and he will be missed.

I only hope we have the opportunity to help you, your pets and our community in any way. Please feel free to call me with any other questions or opportunities.
